The ID-Cooling FX240 LCD ARGB is a modern 240mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler designed for users who want a combination of strong cooling performance, a compact radiator design, and a customizable LCD display. It is part of ID-Cooling’s FX LCD series, which focuses on blending efficient thermal performance with real-time system monitoring and visual customization, making it popular in gaming and aesthetic PC builds.

At its core, the FX240 LCD uses a high-efficiency copper cold plate water block, which ensures fast heat transfer from the CPU into the liquid loop. The pump is integrated into the block and operates at around 2900 RPM ±10%, providing consistent coolant circulation and stable thermal performance under gaming, rendering, and multitasking workloads.

The cooler is paired with a 240mm aluminum radiator (276 × 120 × 27 mm), which offers a balanced size for both performance and compatibility with most mid-tower PC cases. This makes it suitable for builds where a 360mm radiator may not fit, while still delivering strong thermal efficiency for modern CPUs.

Cooling is handled by two 120mm PWM ARGB fans, typically running in a speed range of 300 to 2000 RPM, automatically adjusting based on CPU temperature. These fans are designed for a balance of airflow and static pressure, delivering up to around 58 CFM airflow, which is sufficient for handling mid-to-high performance CPUs in gaming and productivity use. A major highlight of the FX240 LCD is its 1.48-inch IPS LCD display (240 × 240 resolution) mounted on the pump head. This screen allows users to display real-time system data such as CPU temperature, usage, and performance metrics, or customize it with images, animations, and visual themes depending on software support. It effectively turns the cooler into both a thermal solution and a system monitoring display inside the PC case.

The pump itself uses a ceramic bearing design, which improves durability, reduces friction, and enhances long-term stability during continuous operation. This helps maintain consistent performance over time, even under extended gaming sessions or heavy workloads.

For aesthetics, the FX240 LCD includes addressable RGB lighting (ARGB) on both the pump and fans. It connects via a standard 5V 3-pin ARGB header, allowing full synchronization with motherboard RGB ecosystems such as ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASRock Polychrome Sync. This makes it easy to match lighting effects across the entire system.
